Our Mission & Values

Our Mission Statement:

Our mission is to be the people of God doing the work of Jesus Christ in the world, as led by the Holy Spirit, loving all whom God brings our way, serving Him in ministry to our church and community, nurturing each member of our church family in the truths of the Gospel, and sending forth disciples to shine the Light of the Gospel and bring hope to the Sevier County area and beyond. Loving. Serving. Nurturing. Sending.

Our Values:

Worship:
Becoming worshipers whom the Father seeks, glorifying God and exalting His name through worship that is joyful, reverent, christ-centered, and scripture-filled

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks (john 4:23)

Discipleship:
Making disciples, equipping the saints, and growing to maturity.

[Christ equips] His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-13)

Community:
Bringing restoration and redemption to our community through God’s hope.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10)

Prayer:
Seeking God’s will and the Holy Spirit’s guidance, giving thanks in all circumstances.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that hears us – Whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him (1 John 5:14-15)

Fellowship:
Loving God and loving each other, living out the great commandment.

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” (Matthew 22:37-39)

Evangelism:
Proclaiming the Good News, sharing our faith, and supporting mission partners in the world as we work together to accomplish the goal of the great commision.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)
